To arrange a College Tour, please contact College Registrar Ms Sue McCulloch: Orientation ProgramsKindergarten to Year 6 The Penrhos College Junior School hosts an Orientation Morning for incoming students in Term 4 of the year prior to students commencing their Penrhos education. This event includes a variety of activities and games designed to dispel anxiety and reassure girls that they are well prepared for the coming year. Students will be shown around the College campus and introduced to other students to ensure that there are plenty of familiar faces come Day 1 of the new school year. Details will be mailed to prospective families closer to the event. Years 7 to 12 The Penrhos College Secondary School hosts an Orientation Day in Term 4 of the year preceding the new school year that sees incoming students paired up with a “Buddy” (a current Penrhos student) who acts as a chaperone throughout the day. Prospective students are introduced to the daily routine of school life, afforded an opportunity to meet their Form Teacher and Head of Year, able to sample a range of class subjects, participate in team building activities and experience College facilities. Details will be mailed to prospective families closer to the event. Boarding Students A special orientation program is coordinated for new students and their parents. The Head of Boarding will contact all prospective families in Term 4 prior to students commencing their Penrhos education in January of the following year. Information included in the orientation will clarify leave arrangements, administrative and personal matters, mobile phones and internet access, access to the College Health Centre and upcoming events. |
