Scholarship applications have now closed for 2012.

Each year the College Council, the Penrhos College Foundation and the Penrhos College Alumni Inc. award a number of scholarships.

• Academic Scholarships are available to students entering Years 7, 8, 10 and 11.
• Music Scholarships are available to students entering Years 7-12.
• The Margaret Way Alumni Scholarship is available to the daughter of a financial member of our Alumni to enter Year 7 in 2013.

Academic Entrance Scholarships for 2013 entry

Scholarship examinations for entry into Year 7, Year 8, Year 10 and Year 11 are conducted as part of the Cooperative Scholarship Testing Program (CSTP).  Applications may be made online by clicking on the appropriate link below.

Scholarships are not full scholarships and would cover up to 50% remission of Academic tuition fees. 

CSTP Level 1 – For Year 7 or Year 8 entry in 2013
CSTP Level 2 – For Year 10 entry in 2013
CSTP Level 3 – For Year 11 entry in 2013

Music Scholarships for 2013 entry

Instrumental/Voice Music Scholarships are available for girls entering Years 7 – 12 in 2013.  These scholarships are awarded on musical excellence.  Applicants must attend an audition and submit a reference from her current music teacher and copies of her two most recent school reports.  Auditions will be held late in Feburary of 2012 and applicants will be notified of their audition time and date following the closing date for applications.

Music Scholarship Recipients will be expected to:

• Maintain a high level of achievement in their chosen area of music study
• Take classroom music for the duration of their studies
• Be a member of instrumental/vocal ensemble(s) as appropriate
• Be fully supportive and contribute to the musical life of Penrhos College

Margaret Way Alumni Scholarship

The Margaret Way Alumni Scholarship was introduced in 2010, for students entering Year 7, who are daughters or granddaughters of financial Alumni members, for the remainder of their education at Penrhos College, at 25% remission of the tuition fees.

This scholarship will be awarded on academic merit and selection based on the individual's ACER CSTP Level 1 exam. This is the same exam that Council Scholarship recipients sit.
