Tickets for the musical ‘Seussical’, the 2012 Penrhos College Production, will be available at $25 each through the Penrhos College Online Ticketing system. This can be accessed on the Penrhos College website from Monday, 25 June.

Performances will be held in the Rixon Theatre on Thursday, 2 August, Friday, 3 August and Saturday, 4 August at 7.30pm.

This new musical is based on the works of Dr Seuss, incorporating his most famous tales and characters in unexpected ways. ‘Seussical’ incorporates elements from at least 15 of his books, as well as many of his best loved and most familiar characters, who may not have met each other in the initial stories but do in our musical. And, in the course of the show, some may fall in love, some will have desperate adventures and some will save the world! The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Mayzie La Bird and other animals living in the Jungle of Nool, Circus McGurkus characters, and the Whos, are but some of the characters that appear as the story progresses.

Dr Seuss believes in helping a friend, in not giving up, in keeping a promise. He believes in the value and dignity of others, in working to preserve the fragile sweetness of the natural world, and he believes that peace is the ultimate ideal, among nations and in every heart. He also believes in the pure power of the imagination. You will find these messages are at the heart of ‘Seussical’ - The Musical.
