Secondary School Teacher of Science, Commencing Term 1 2027, Permanent Full-Time (1.0 FTE)

We are seeking a passionate Secondary School Science Teacher (Chemistry/Physics) to join our innovative Science Department commencing from Term 1, 2027. This role is being offered as a permanent, full-time opportunity. 

The successful candidate will have excellent content knowledge and a demonstrated background in teaching in their specialist subject across years 7 to 12, including ATAR.  

As part of our Strategic Direction, we aim to provide our girls with ‘inspirational student experiences’ where our students are at the centre of all we do. As a teacher at Penrhos, you will play a significant role in planning, delivering and reflecting on the learning experiences in your classroom as well as providing a safe, supportive and respectful environment that is essential for positive student wellbeing.   • A Bachelor of Education or a degree qualification supported by a Masters in Education, or Post Graduate Diploma of Education

Curriculum Administrator, Full-time (1.0 FTE), Term Time Only

The College is seeking an experienced Curriculum Administrator to join our Secondary Administration team. This role will see you working closely with a key group of staff, led by the Secondary Administration Manager, to oversee the academic coordination & reporting responsibilities and requirements of the Penrhos Secondary School.

The Curriculum Administrator will support Senior Leadership and Secondary School Middle Managers by assisting in the development of and data checking of curriculum content and assessment. 

This is a permanent full-time (1.0 FTE), term time only role, supporting curriculum coordination, assessment and reporting across the Secondary School. 

This position works 41 weeks of the year (plus 4 weeks annual leave during term breaks) including: 

  • Week 1 of the Term 2 holidays to ensure all reporting processes are met
  • Week 2 of the Term 3 holidays to cover Year 12 Mock Examinations 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing School Curriculum & Standards Authority (SCSA) processes and reporting, curriculum reporting and internal reporting.
  • Overseeing testing and examinations including NAPLAN, OLNA, WACE etc.
  • Managing and administering special examination requirements as directed by College Counsellors.
  • Working with Heads of Department to data check reports, examinations and information shared with parents. 
  • Overseeing the management of Student Academic Reports, Student Conferences and Booklists.
  • Supporting the Dean of Academics & Future Pathways with subject selection processes and publication of awards.
  • Providing general administrative assistance as requested by the Secondary Administration Manager. 

The successful applicants will have:

  • Experience in school administration. 
  • Experience in coordinating testing and examinations and associated reporting.
  • Experience managing SCSA processes and reporting. 
  • Experience in Synergetic, Compass, SEQTA, Timetabler or similar is desirable but not essential.
  • Current National Police Clearance & Working with Children card (WWC).
  • Commitment to the College’s Core Shared values of Respect, Integrity, Empathy, Knowledge, Growth and Synergy. 

The following essential criteria must be addressed with evidence in your cover letter: 

  1. Strong administrative skills, including coordinating testing and examinations and associated reporting.
  2. Experience managing SCSA processes and reporting.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  4. Demonstrable experience analysing data, identifying trends and driving positive change within the role.
  5. Ability to work autonomously whilst consulting with leadership and the broader team.

Administration Officer - Future Pathways, Part-Time (0.6 FTE), Term Time Only

The College is seeking a highly organised and experienced Administration Officer to join our Secondary Administration team. In this role, you will work closely with the Secondary Administration Manager, providing key administrative support to the Future Pathways Coordinator and the Dean of Academics & Future Pathways. You will play an important part in the smooth delivery and coordination of the College’s Future Pathways program.

The Future Pathways program provides a structured academic framework that supports upper secondary students in navigating Vocational Education & Training (VET), Authority Developed Workplace Learning (ADWPL), Endorsed Programs, and Work Experience opportunities.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide strong, accurate and timely administrative support to the Future Pathways Program, including reporting (SCSA, VET, ADWPL & Endorsed Programs).
  • Monitor and report student progress within the Program to key stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality where required.
  • Conduct student information sessions in preparation for work experience and providing ongoing administration and organisation to ensure the success of the placement.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice to stakeholder queries and escalate these where required.
  • Provide general administrative assistance as requested by the Secondary Administration Manager. 

The successful applicants will have:

  • Demonstrable experience in administration, preferably in a school environment.
  • Experience working with RTOs and knowledge of current VET courses and regulations.  
  • A Certificate or Degree qualification in a related field or a minimum of Year 10 with substantial experience.
  • Current National Police Clearance & Working with Children card (WWC).
  • Commitment to the College’s Core Shared values of Respect, Integrity, Empathy, Knowledge, Growth and Synergy. 

The following essential criteria must be addressed with evidence in your cover letter: 

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating or supporting VET, ADWPL, Endorsed Programs, Work Experience, or similar educational pathways programs.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a clear commitment to identifying efficiencies and improving processes.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
