In alignment with our school motto, “Courage Starts Here,” we are introducing a new position – Head of Outdoor Experiences (PP-12). This represents a bold step forward in nurturing resilience, curiosity, and leadership across the College. This role will be instrumental in designing and coordinating a cohesive, developmentally appropriate outdoor experiences program that spans from PP to Year 12, embedding experiential learning into the heart of our curriculum.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced educator to lead and strategically develop our Outdoor Experiences program in a part-time capacity (0.9 FTE, negotiable and with the ability to grow in 2027), starting in Term 1, 2026.
This exciting role includes a 0.2 FTE component dedicated to IGSSA interschool sport coordination, offering a dynamic blend of outdoor education and sporting leadership.

Penrhos College Boarding House is currently inviting applications for the positions of Boarding House Year Coordinators commencing in Term 1, 2026. We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available. The Boarding House has approximately 100 students ranging from Year 7 to 12. The Boarding House Year Coordinators role is to provide appropriate supervision in the general routine of boarding students as well as quality pastoral care support. These positions will commence in late January and will be on-going following the satisfactory completion of a 6-month probationary period.
We have a variety of shifts available with accommodation and meals provided.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people, balance a supportive approach with the need for consistency and structure and administer all rules and procedures with the Boarders.
Duties related to this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- To provide guidance and supervision of all boarding students.
- To provide support with internal and external recreational activities.
- To undertake administrative functions to support role
- Support the College and Head of Boarding to provide for the spiritual, academic, cultural emotional and physical needs of the students in the boarding house.
- Provide a duty of care, that is, to take all reasonable steps to ensure the well-being of the student.

Aboriginal Youth Mentor (Secondary School), Commencing Term 1 2026, Permanent Part-time (0.4 FTE)

Responsibilities related to this position include, but are not limited to:
- mentoring of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students, across mind, heart, body, and spirit.
- supporting individual Aboriginal student’s wellbeing, for them to achieve their personal best and to have the skills to problem solve and employ helpful strategies to overcome any challenge or obstacle they may be confronted with. This position will work alongside the Cultural Program Coordinator and be part of the Secondary Pastoral Care Team.
- supporting the College’s main objective of the teaching and learning of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through assisting Secondary Teachers in the delivery of planned education programs and encouraging a supportive and inclusive learning environment focusing on opportunities and support for students of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
- supporting the ‘Family’ model utilised at the College supporting our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
