Elise Sutherland (2012)

After graduating from Penrhos in 2012, Elise Sutherland completed her Bachelor of Science (Engineering) at UWA before moving to Melbourne to complete her Masters in Biomedical Engineering, as the course was not available in WA. 

Elise is now CEO and Founder of biomedical start up ‘Stelect’, which takes the guesswork out of stent selection for cardiologists performing coronary stenting procedures. Since the launch of ‘Stelect’, Elise has been listed in Forbes 30 under 30 (Asia Pacific) and been the grand prize winner of Med Tech’s Got Talent, a national MedTech start-up competition. Her company has raised ~$1M is capital funding to aid in the commercialisation of the device.
